Supported Services

AutoFileMove allows transfers between different cloud storage services and websites.

Amazon S3

Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), AutoFileMove support transfer from/to Amazon S3, You can add the service using Access Keys:

  • Access Key Id
  • Secret Access Key

File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

A standard network protocol used to transfer files from one host to another host over a TCP-based network, such as the Internet.
You can connect you your FTP using

  • Server

    FTP server IP or name, such as ftp://101.101.1.2 or ftp://mydomain.com

  • Port

    FTP servers usually use port 21

  • Username

    FTP server username

  • Password

    FTP server secure password

Dropbox

Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily.
After entering Display name for this connector, You can connect to your Dropbox account using their Authentication form which let you login through Dropbox website then return back to AutoFileMove.

Web URL

Just enter any URL for a downloadable file to transfer it to different cloud services without downloading it to you machine,
Web URL is the only service which just works as a source and can't be a destination service.

After adding any cloud service to your AutoFileMove account, you can connect to it later without entering the same credentials again and you can edit or delete any connector later.

File Transfer

AutoFileMove supports 2 different ways of moving files.

Transfer files from one cloud storage to another and Delete a file from a cloud storage. Both of ways can be fired immediately or schedule to run later.

  • Transfer:

    Connect to a source and destination services to transfer files between them.
    Users can select individual files/folders to transfer.
    Plus AutoFileMove gives some options to setup the transfer job based on the user needs.

    • Selected Folder Included

      If this is selected, means that actions will apply on selected folders, if not selected so this means that we will ignore the selected folder and work on what's inside.

    • Archive (Zip files before transfer)

      All selected files and folders from source will zip in one file before sending to destination, zipped files will have names with timestamp like AFM-20121201015006.zip

    • Only move new files

      Prevent overwrite existing files and move just new files.

    • Recursively

      Selecting a folder will select all child folders and files inside recursively.

    • Rules
      • File Size

        Include or Exclude files with sizes greater or less than a number of Bytes.

      • File Extension

        Include or Exclude files with certain extensions such as .jpg, .zip,....

  • Delete

    Connect to a source service to start delete files from it Any deleted files can't be restored
    AutoFileMove gives few options to setup a delete job.

    • Selected Folder Included

      If this is selected, means that actions will apply on selected folders, if not selected so this means that we will ignore the selected folder and work on what's inside.

    • Rules
      • File Size

        Include or Exclude files with sizes greater or less than a number of Bytes.

      • File Extension

        Include or Exclude files with certain extensions such as .jpg, .zip,....

Schedules

AutoFileMove have an option to Schedule transfers or delete jobs for later or repeated run.

Setting up a Schedule have the same options as transfer and delete setup, but with a date/time option to setup when the Job should run.

  • Hourly

    The job will run every hour on a specified minute (not good for large files transfers).

  • Daily

    The job will run every day on a specified time.

  • Weekly

    The job will run every week on a specified day and time.

  • Monthly

    The job will run every month on a specified day and time.

Incremental option is a special option for Scheduled jobs, selecting this options means that transfer will apply on just files that change between scheduled transfers.

Sharing

AutoFileMove sharing files features allow users to share any file from any supported cloud service.

Share a file from a cloud service let users send links to others to download a file without giving them any access to the cloud service.

Share a file by clicking on the share icon beside the file name and this will generate a unique link to download the file from, and there are some options for sharing the file.

  • Send link to

    A comma separated list of emails for contacts you want them to download this file

  • Message

    A friendly message to attach to the file download email

  • Link Expiration

    Make the link expires after a number of days (default to expire after 30 days)

  • Password

    A password to protect the file, anyone will access the link will not be able to download the file without entering this password

    Users can delete files from FTP, dropbox or amazon s3

  • Control Transfers with rules

    AutoFileMove let users set different rules to control their transfers, users can filter files while transferring for a service to another, users can select certain file sizes, certain file types or creation date time

  • Automatic transfers using Schedules

    Users can build and customize Schedules to automate files transfers and automate website backups.

  • Select files to transfer

    Select just files/folder you need to transfer

  • Move Just new files

    Save bandwidth and move just new files from a service to another, If you selected this option, AutoFileMove will just move new files and will not overwrite existing files
